gwen_emplyoee_interview

We are happy to welcome Gwen as part of our Sales Team. To give you an impression of her and to show you how she convinced us to work together, we asked her to answer our questionnaire for new team members.

What have you done before joining us?

I worked for a online marketing and print company (that doesn’t exist anymore) and in two online games companies as online marketing and sales manager for France.

What are your responsibilities at Akanoo?

Acquiring new customers for the French market and account management for existing customers.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

Being in contact with people.

And what do you usually do after work?

Take care of my two kids.

Which colleague would you take with you to a lonely island and why?

Everybody or nobody! And as long as I’m the only full-time woman here at the moment (and being French), it would be way too tendentious!

Which attraction/part of Hamburg do you think you should definitely visit and why?

The old city center because of its history and the French crêperie. :)

Which apps could you never do without and why?

Google maps, for obvious reasons!

I would choose Bendix because his sailing skills would enable him to bring us back to inhabited land.

Which attraction/part of Hamburg do you think you should definitely visit and why?

Just buy a public transport ticket and get on a ferry on the Elbe. This is a very authentic and cheap way to enjoy the river and the harbour.

Which apps could you never do without and why?

How long have you been working for Akanoo and what have you done before that?

Since January, and before I worked in France as a Regional Manager for a telecom company.

I drink a beer. :P

Which colleague would you take with you to a lonely island and why?

This is a really difficult question, because everyone in the team has good assets to be a good partner on a lonely island… Well, I would say Moritz, I bet he knows how to build a solid wood raft!

I really like the Hirschpark in Blankenese, specially in autumn. The colours are beautiful and the view to the Elbe is stunning. It is always a good place for a nice walk.

Customer Success Manager With A Passion For Design

employee interview miriam

Mirjam is Customer Success Manager at Akanoo. She creates campaign ideas and designs in cooperation with our clients, checks the performance and optimizes them. And  by the way, she is creative in her free time, too.

How long have you been working for Akanoo and what have you done before that?

Since April 2014. Before I worked in Sales & Marketing positions for some fashion and cosmetic companies, mainly in the luxury sector.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

The atmosphere between the team members and that you can try new things together.

And what do you usually do after work?

Go shopping at a building supplies store. Visit a spin class or “Hot Iron” (this barbell-group-thing, which consists of  90% pain). Cook so much food, that I have to invite some people.

Which colleague would you take with you to a lonely island and why?

Depends on the goal.

For living there self-sufficient the rest of my life → Frank, because he even makes his own honey!

For leaving the island as fast as possible → Bendix, because he was a boy scout.

For having a “Party-Holiday” and getting off the island with a special pick-up service →  Moritz, he knows the right people and how to have a good time.

Which apps could you never do without and why?

MyFitnessPal, Pinterest and Houzz. The first motivates me, because I need to see results by numbers. With Houzz you find a lot of great works from interior experts, which push my creativity. For Pinterest I needed some time to get a heavy user. It began when I started to create furniture. Now it’s my #1 tool for searching some first inspo together with Houzz.
